1931 DeVaux Custom Sedan.
Less than 60 known to exist.  The Custom sedan was the
top of the line for DeVaux in 1931.  Devaux-Hall motors was
only in business for 9 months from April 1931 to February
1932.  Continental motors then bought the assets of
DeVaux and the name was changed to Continental-DeVaux
for the remainder of the 32 model year.  Factories were in
Oakland, California and Grand Rapids, Michigan.  In 1932,
only Michigan cars were produced.

This car is a Michigan car, put in storage in 1956 in
up-state New York.  In 2007 it was moved to be sold.  It was
brought to the West Coast.  The car was started and the
engine appears to be strong.

The engine is a "Hall".  Produced by Continental but with
the design by Col. Elbert Hall.  Col. Hall was the
co-designer of what was known as the "Liberty" aircraft
engine in WW1.  The development of this engine led to
Hall being awarded the Distinguished Service Medal be
Congress.

The car was taken apart and restoration started.  The body
was taken down to bare metal and properly primed for
paint.  Fenders on the drivers side need rust repair.  All
glass has been taken out and properly packaged.  Some
wood in the body has been skillfully reproduced as
necessary.  Interior is good for patterns.

Because of health and age, this car is being sold.
